Internships are a great way to get hands on practical experience and possibly also earn something. That does not mean that all internships are paid, but most of them are.

Google offers some interesting programs. While most of them are for undergrad+ students, one can always use their free resources to improve resume and better understand how global companies hire.
These resources are a good way to complement your academic experience, being it after school online sessions with international students or in-person summer school. It is a good opportunity to meet with like-minded people and to experience education at world-class universities. Some of the courses might be free, but for most tuition should be expected. We recommend planning for these activities in advance and also possibly utilize the possibility of paid internship in the previous section. There is also the possibility to apply for financial aid at the organizing university or at various foundations.
